The Marblehead Farmers’ Market will open on May 30th

Saturdays 9AM - 12PM

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Marblehead Farmers’ Market will operate quite differently this season.
Various safety measures have been implemented which require the cooperation of attendees in order to continue to offer the market.

Several vendors will be offering pre orders. Scroll down for more info.

The number of vendors will be greatly reduced in order to allow for physical distancing. They will be mostly farms and a few food vendors. The market will be cordoned off, requiring entrance at only one point. The number of customers allowed in the market site will be quite limited. There will be a markers on the ground delineating one-way flow inside the market area. There will be double tables separating customers from vendors. Customers may not enter a booth – only go up to it to request desired items. It may be possible for other vendors to join later in the season but there is no estimate of when that might be.

The Marblehead Farmers’ Market needs your help in maintaining a safe market environment. Please familiarize yourself with the following guidelines before arriving at the market:

Opening Plan

We have two applications now one for craft vendors and one for farms, food vendors, performers, community guests, and all other vendors

Reminiscent of the market days of our forebears, our goal is to provide:

  • A community-building event.
  • An opportunity for residents to improve their nutritional intake.
  • Support for local farmers to help them avoid selling their fields for development and to keep a viable local food source.
